![]() We have not reconstituted the Zeo platform. The anonymised sleep data were used to make comparisons with our extensive research on the sleep norms and various meta-analyses of sleep data during development of S+ by ResMed. ResMed did acquire some of the Zeo assets including intellectual property. I’m sorry it took a little time to reply. We'll post some data samples here when we can. The requirement is that the sensor sit on a nightstand, pointing toward the sleeper's chest. They are also doing some distance sensing, to reduce noise. However, the trick they are using is not to directly infer sleep from movement, but to infer respiratory patterns (this is their area of expertise), and then infer sleep from respiration. Colin confirmed this news, on the condition I wait a few weeks before making it public.Ĭolin also showed me the sleep sensor they have been working on. He didn't know but connected me to Dave Dickinson, the ex-CEO, who put me in touch with Colin Lawlor at ResMed. I wrote to Ben Rubin a while back to see what I could find out about Zeo assets. The official site appears to be at this URL now. Yes, Lori and gwern are correct, Resmed bought the Zeo assets and is now launching their own sleep tracker, the S+. all good, and some things that teh ZEO does not do.įrom the other forum, I also extracted the following: the train comes by at 12:45 and you are disturbed. I also know it records things like noise and temp, so it will try to be able to tell you what is disturbing your sleep. Not saying it is not a good choice, but if it all based on breathing rates it would be noce to build it into the cpap machines. It sure would be nice if they could do it by a firmware update to the existing machines. If they are doinng sleep stage based on resperation, they should very easily include that in their CPCP machines where they measure resperitaion and airflow directly. ZEO picked up brain waves and looked ad the requency of the brain waves to determine sleep state. BUT IT DOES NOT USE ANY OF THE ZEO TECHNOLOGY. There have been discussions and articles on this, so I know it is possible. From what I read on the web site, it tries to measure breathing and infer sleep from that.
